Nepal Army’s Colonel Kumar Lama, who was acquitted of war crime charges by the United Kingdom’s Central Criminal Court, has returned home on Tuesday.His family members relatives welcomed Col Lama, who was arrested in London during his personal visit in January 2013 and tried for alleged torture and human rights violation during Nepal’s decade long bloody conflict, and his wife at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Col Lama faced trial on charges of inflicting severe pains to two detainees during the height of Maoist insurgency in Nepal in 2005.
